2003 SUBSCRIPTION SERIES INFO + PRE-ORDERING :::
We are pleased to announce that the artist line-up for our 2003
subscription series has been confirmed. Following the lead of our 2002
series, we think that this set of releases srikes a great balance in
artists ranging from well-known to unknown, and in musical styles ranging
from experimental/ambient to cheerful IDM and lots in between:
January : PIE013 : Temper
February : PIE014 : Books On Tape
March : PIE015 : Phasmid
April : PIE016 : Self-Service
May : PIE017 : Ugliness Man
June : PIE018 : The Blameshifter
July : PIE019 : Goodnight Streetlight
August : PIE020 : Twine
September : PIE021 : Rapoon
October : PIE022 : Gridlock
November : PIE023 : Tinkertoy
The series will consist of 11 EP length discs on CD3" format hand-packaged
with Japanese silkscreened paper inserts. They will be released on the 11th
day of each month, and will be limited to 211 copies (with 175 available
for purchase). A compilation featuring exclusive tracks from all 11 artists
will follow in December, and will be sent only those who subscribe to the
full series from Piehead directly.
Subscription pre-orders can be placed now at a cost of CDN$100
(approximately US$65) via the Mail Order section of the newly redesigned
Piehead website:
http://www.pieheadrecords.com/mailorder/
Links to the websites of most of the artists in the series can be found on
the Piehead Releases page:
http://www.pieheadrecords.com/releases/
Note that pre-orders cannot be placed for individual releases in the
series. Single copies will only be made available on the day of release,
and only if they have not sold out via subscription. So if you want to make
sure that you receive a copy of a particular release, purchasing a full
subscription now is recommended.
