Censorship in the US................... Primal Scream's new album could be blacklisted in the US, according to reports. The album contains a track call Bomb The Pentagon, which criticises America's foreign policy. It was written and premiered live shortly before the September 11 attacks. This has nothing to do with "censorship in the US". They said blacklist---basically meaning unmarketable I would assume (they have no label in the US and no one would want to pick them up). Its unfortunate UK media sources would run a story to insinuate there is some evil force (blacklisting? must be a government agency!) keeping art unheard in US, especially considering the British government has been censoring art there for quite some time. The only force keeping Primal Scream down in the US is pure economics. At 10:15 AM 4/10/2002 +0100, you wrote:

the word "Blacklisted" is probably most well known from the McCarthy era, you'd hardly call the fucked up actions of the movie business in those days "pure economics" - it WAS censorship, why would they mean anything different by it here? skism.
