I’ve really tried to get into and enjoy Snares. And it’s been a struggle honestly. I mean I love Autechre’s recent stuff and their more experimental stuff so clearly I ain’t a pedestrian. But I can’t get into VS though I have mad respect for him. I gave this a couple songs listen but obviously need to give it more time and attention. But so far it sounds like Lanois playing over VS’ music. - CRT

i dunno if you are an Orb fan, but i felt basically the same way about the Metallic Sphere release with david gilmour, great guitar work over incongruous samples and beats just didn't seem really planned , more spontaneous was fun to listen to a couple times but definitely not an enduring favorite Clint Anderson Systems Engineer "Freedom -- paint me a picture!" -- Burton Cummings On Fri, May 4, 2018 at 1:13 PM, Charles Terhune <crtdot@icloud.com> wrote:

i like what Aaron does, Lanois is a little slack for me. My impression listening to their collaboration is that it kind of had a "two browswer tab open playing different music" feel to it. The atmospheric guitar and Aaron's usual business don't really feel like two inseperable parts of the same thing. On Thu, May 10, 2018 at 11:01 AM Charles Terhune <crtdot@icloud.com> wrote:
