To get back from Fugazi to electronic music: I think the first Capitol K record on Planet Mu is a good example of Fugazi influence in electronic music. Is there anything else like this you could recommend? Maya __________________________________________________________________ Gesendet von Yahoo! Or Deathray Davies and Kraftwerk. :) I think the Faint plain rule. That's why I'm in a band that wants to be just like them. :) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

hi all. i almost never post on here (though some of you may know me as madcow from soulseek), but speaking of "idm fugazi" i just have to mention a young new band out of new york called the liars. they released their debut album, "the threw us all in a trench and stuck a monument on top", on gern blandsten last year. i first saw them opening for les savy fav (more idm fugazi!) in december (i think). i missed half the set (doh), but decided to research them further. the album is an absolute monster, and you just have to see them live - absolute chaos. i saw them again last thursday. i have to admit i wasn't 100% sold at first, so give them ample time. even so i'm sure they're not for everyone. i believe there is a review of the album on allmusic.com, and a review of a live set on popmatters.com. anywho, check the liars out! -alex bennett ----- Original Message ----- From: "subverseco communications" <glitchy_and_scratchy@hotmail.com> To: <mayyade@yahoo.de>; <idm@hyperreal.org> Sent: Thursday, January 31, 2002 2:23 PM Subject: Re: [idm] idm fugazi
