>>when you get right down to it, if the music one
listens to now doesn't satisfy and fulfill, maybe one
needs to shop around more. Eno doesn't like what he
hears - fine.
Sure, and most of its nothing to me, which should be labeled in the same
category-----"FINE"-----. I shop for most of the older music, besides, its
been heard already--and I can ensure that I will get my $ worth. Not to
mention quality ass tracks that make me go coo-coo! I will stick my cash
out for some of the newer stuff on occasion but thats only by
recommendations from trusted friends who know my tastes.
I think now is a good time for IDM makers in America to make music, with the
bombing of those buildings, emotions are prevalent like poverty, NOW. In
this society, those at the top tend to teach that emotions are for women and
sissies, but anger is an emotion.....
Trust me folks, they steer people away from emotions and that's why suckers
go over the deep end when calamities happen.(and perhaps why our culture is
weak like wet bread when it comes to putting out quality music,
consistently---African Americans excluded..........:D)
Musically:
My generalizations are not meant to be 100% true, there are deviations to
all norms. Listen to John Beltran, thats text book emotion, in his OWN
take....The Sense LP is another good one in spots which buffers this idea
that I speak of.
Its not all computer based music that I speak of necessarily, its most IDM
music that I have heard that's emotional-less............
Back to work I go!
