Just wanted to give the big thumbs up to the new AFX 12". I'm sure the use of the "AFX" alias should probably warn the RDJnutz that this will concentrate on the booty shakin' ass-pect... and oh it does. Russell Haswell spun one of the two tracks during the Autechre U.S. tour. And I believe Rennie Pilgrem spun this at the GROSSLY UNDERATTENDED show with Simply Jeff at I-Spy in Seattle a couple of months ago. If you like Buckfuck 3000 or Si Begg, you'll like this new AFX 12". np: Avalanches "Since I Left You" (Hmmmm, it's like Kid Koala or Bentley Rhythm Ace playing around with the fluffier side of Stereolab's record collection...) ======================================================================= Brian MacDonald <brianm@kuci.org> ======================================================================= --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Er, "Buckfunk". And if any of you college radio DJs on this list claim to have never made a mistake pronouncing "Buckfunk 3000" on the air (without cussing), then you're funking lying. ======================================================================= Brian MacDonald <brianm@kuci.org> ======================================================================= --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

this is actually one of the few enjoyable things on the airwaves that i've noticed lately - spot the dj mistake :D there was one time a dj was like "give us a call at 784.. uhh.. woops, started giving out the home phone there." she would've gotten a LOT of callers that night ;D cheers, derek ------- eggytoast.com ------- now on the interweb --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
