Funny someone should mention this, but I saw Metropolis for the first time last wednesday at my university movie theatre. For sound they brought in a guy called 'Friedegghead' who I assume is local. He was doing some pretty cool stuff with a few synths and some dsp effects. At some points even layered drum sequences. Actually very cool to see along with the movie. Someone using very modern clean sounding equipment to go with ancient (in terms of movie) visuals. Quite the contrast. _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Um... yes. Except that the soundtrack doesn't sync up with the pictures, since the movie is way longer than the recorded material. But he's given his tracks evocative titles that fit into the sequence of the story, etc. I * --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
