im not sure if im actually noticing something here, or if im just making
something up in my head, but..
is it just me, or has there been a massive amount of amazing compilations
flooding the market lately
i used to avoid compilations, for usually there would only be an occasional
"good" track surrounded by shite, and other than artifical intel. 1 and 2,
as well as those comps from kevin martin on virgin(ambient 4 should be
mandatory, idm 101:), i cant think of any other really amazing comps from
before 1998
then all of a sudden, its skam, warp, mille plateux, morr, plug research,
etc etc pushing these insane comps that could give one a heart attack in
trying to keep up with the individual works of each artist, cause every
single track is phenominal in its own right
im going broke just keeping up with the comps:)
could be just me, though, i been slow before
anyway, that console yourself 2x10" is amazing
and the aforementioned MD1(looking forward to 2)
as well as tied & tickled trio er1er2(i think thats the name)
any opinions on clicks and cuts 2, ie in comparison to 1??
and just finally got around to really listening to Notwist-shrink, really
good union between melo pop & glitchy robot-rock(ha!)
