Couchblip! is a new Australian-based independent electronic record label. "If you're looking for some local electronic music along the lines of the emotive, experimental bleeps of Warp and Rephlex records then the sounds emanating from the Couchblip! studios in Ultimo could be what you're after." (3dworld Issue 545) It currently has three artists on the label - Robokoneko, Disjunction Reunion and Bloq. Styles rang from up-tempo twisted distorted beats to melodic downtempo loungeroom music. Couchblip! have just released a debut CD which is a compilation of music from the 3 artists on the label. Mid 2001 will see the release of Disjunction Reunion's full length album 'Computer Dead Reckoning'. Late 2001 will see another compilation which will be a benefit CD for which Couchblip! will soon be accepting submissions. You can download mp3's of our music from our website (flash required). In fact.....just to make things a little more exciting (and to reward someone who has read down this far in what is turning out to be a bit of a verbose email)...first person to email me to tell me what Disjunction Reunion's favourite sweet thing is (Hint: its very obvious, its on our website....in a section related to Disjunction Reunion :) will recieve a free copy of our Couchblip! CD. Just include your address with your reply and if you were first to reply you will recieve an email back from me. Thanks :) Melinda aka Robokoneko =^.^= http://www.couchblip.com Couchblip! the CD Available online at http://www.chaosmusic.com or via our website. IDM musicians for you guys to check out: as far as the Underground/MP3 swapping scene is concerned, these are my fellaz: tefosav (www.tefosav.co.uk) - Granted, I AM part of it, but there are many other musicians on it (including AEM) who I feel are worthy of your time and ears. I am robot and proud (on mp3.com) - Bleep Bloop shit. Really quite good. Mr. Projectile (on mp3.com/toytronic(?)) - Aesome standard IDM wackery. Nautilis (on mp3.com/Metatone) - laugh. Please, laugh with me! haw haw haw haw haw. Seriously funny stuff. Check out his remix of Leafcutter John's samples - www.leafcutterjohn.co.uk The Beginning of Lotus (www.mp3.com/tbol) - Unbelievably sexy. Really some of the best music I have ever heard. People who know me know I ride his jock too much, but whatever. I LIKE IT! -------------- Yeah, that's it for now. Word to your mom, and to the constitution.
