In fact, the news (for me at least) that Buckethead and Brain joined Axl in GnR is already fucking weird... I'm a fan of Buckethead and familiar with his collaborations with Brain (like Praxis or Death Cube K) and it was a little shock for me to see them next to such pop rock band like GnR... It doesn't matter who he's working with, I'm willing to bet it's still gonna end up sounding like some terrible "industrial" NIN shite. This whole thing of like waiting years and years to make that perfect album (i.e. My Bloody Valentine, G'n'R) is so ridiculous.
