aaltopiiri is sort of a cross between the noisier beaty stuff from Kulma and
the most abstract moments of A and vainio's solo releases. Beats serve as
bookends on the album while the more abstract, droney atmospheres occur in
the center. The last four or five tracks are pretty choice, though, with
really distorted, aggressive percussion..... reminiscent almost of Osasto,
but less accessible (!).
in other words, it's really good. if you like their other stuff, you won't
be surprised, but you definitely won't be disappointed.
