Hi. I don't know what's up, but recently I've been getting a LOT of unsolicited e-mails from different European-based mailing-lists saying that I've been subscribed to them. They are all rave and/or techno-based mailing-lists, so i'm wondering if these people have been tapping into the list of addresses on the IDM-list somehow? I'm not on any other mailing-lists with this type of musical genre theme, so that's how I've drawn this conclusion. Oh, and they've all got the same scam where there's a url at the bottom of the `welcome to our mailing-list' message that you can click on to be unsubscribed. Anyone else been having this problem? .`-). christopher miller o o.' evil@fdt.net == ' --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

well, i can say for certain that hyperreal is not selling off email lists. the only way that they might be collecting addresses is by joining the list and manually stripping email addy's from the postings to the list. i've been getting them too, but i figured it was just as a result of my email being on the idm-l site... please let me know personally if anyone get's any more information on these.... thanks. brian rachielles clickpop@hyperreal.org idm-l admin : Hi. : : I don't know what's up, but recently I've been getting a LOT of : unsolicited e-mails from different European-based mailing-lists saying that : I've been subscribed to them.
