IS is Oliver Moreau who also records as >Axiome ("Rictus" is awesome, also on Ant Zen), Urawa, >Torsion ("Jackson's >Private Zoo 12" on >Hymen), Ambre (dark ambient on Ant Zen) and probably >others I don't know about.

these two are undoubtedly excellent. and thankfully, imminent starvation is now just called imminent, so i can stop being embarassed when i tell my friends that the runners-up in the category of Dumbest Band Name of All Time (2nd only to the Armageddon Dildoes) is one of my favorite things to listen to (and his music is truly amazing).

I take some exception to the dismissal of PAL as "crap" - and even Noisex I like (although I have issues with the vocals). But how can one enjoy Sonar and not like pal or noisex? especially someone who's a dissecting table fan (which, if noisex vocals bother you, would seem an odd thing to like - i can't stand diss. table vox)? there aren't exactly a lot of stylistic differences amongst them all. i'm not being accusatory, i'm just confused. or something. other suggestions i might make in this area (i think i've written messages to the list on this topic about 200000 times now... or at least 3 or 4) would be... Cristoph de Babalon (DHR) Kid 606 (Vinyl Comm) Jeff Mills (Tresor) (more techno) Pan Sonic (Mute/Blast First) (more minimalism) Oil 10 (Noise Museum/Hymen) (more minimalism) Black Lung (some australian label) (more technoey DJ Scud (can't remember) Hypnoskull (Ant-Zen) Cristian Vogel - Body Mapping (Tresor) - i just got this, and for the record this is one _strange_ fucking record. maybe not his best, but one you're not going to forget anytime soon. harder than some of the others. and others i'm sure i'm forgetting. ===== the humble abbott arthur purvis set his hand hereto __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
