i used to think "solutions.." was pretty good, especially on mushrooms(same for soma and spacetime continuum, and especially the immortal "spanners" by black dog, what really made IDM(ha)my music of force) but when i played it resently for my brother to get him into more intelligent industrial and techno, rather than new front 242 and evils toy and front line assembly and the likes, uhh, this album is really really boring. their "homes and gardens" is a much more "interesting" album, if you like that sort of thing(interesting) the pile at my feet is aiming for my knees brian _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. I got one Haujobb record (I believe it was "Solutions for a Small Planet" but I'm not sure...) some years ago when I was listening to a bit more industrial stuff (mainly Skinny Puppy/EN; most other bands made no impression on me or simply repulsed me) and thought it was quite bad. Awful lyrics/vocals (very sub-Skinny Puppy quality), cheesy synths, etc. Couldn't stand it. Now, why am I saying this, again...? g. -- Guillaume Grenier - gollum@videotron.ca in space there is no north in space there is no south in space there is no east in space there is no west --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I'm thinking about buying a korg triton rack. Does anybody have any information about this synth/sampler. Is it any good? How does it suit IDM? How flexible is it? Is it a good buy in general? Thanks in advance. Damn dude, you must have mad money. The triton is cool but why not get a real sampler and one of those Digilog synths, like a Nord or something? The Triton is a PCM synth, so all it's doing is playing back samples. It has a sequencer but if you have a computer, you already have a sequencer. The thing has good sounds but it seems to be the fashionable darling of many studios. -lee on 10/23/00 8:26 PM, Eyal Dechter at eyal@mediaone.net wrote:

Maybe Homes and Gardens comes across as a more "interesting" album to people who are more rooted in industrial. But i will not be swayed. Solutions for a Small Planet is easily Haujobb's best record. --sharon --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Homes and Gardens is pretty straight forward and kinda boring to my ears. Everything they've done since has been an improvement. I totally love 99, which many people have slammed.
