Hello, friends! Haven't posted in a dog's age.
Glad to hear talk of Toast and Jam's "Soap Scum" project bubbling up again. The concept: take music you absolutely loathe and remix/cut-up/process it to try to make it sound good.
The project was hatched about a year ago. I dutifully went out and bought some used Kenny G records to use (wanting to tell the store clerk "I don't really like Kenny G! This is strictly for IRONIC purposes, I swear it!) Kenny G gets more tolerable when you distort the hell out of it and play it backwards and timeshifted. As my friend the seismologist put it, "You are torturing him!" Only fair, since his music tortures me. And that hair.
Anyway, glad to hear that a Thug track has been submitted. Alex, are you still on this list? Will this project see the light of day anytime soon?
