hey all so, there's been quite a bit of hype revolving around fizzarum and the current/future state of idm. i really like fizzarum quite a bit and look forward to hearing a full-length from them instead of just the very short tracks they've got on mp3.com. but why no mention of eu, another GREAT duo from the former ussr? they have just as much potential as fizzarum(if not more) as well as having ALOT more music out there - style-wise AND quantity-wise. they lay down some really killer glitchy downtempo tracks - glitch-hop? ;-) needless to say, i really like 'em and thought they deserved some mention in this discussion! another shout-out MUST go to murat safin, who just kicked some MAJOR ASS over pete sampras in the mens' us open finals! WOW!!! he made pete look ready to retire, and this after pete's earlier wimbledon win this year! okay, enough off-topic ranting...i now return you to your regular programming ;P

HMM.. AGREED!! :) hope you've all managed to purchase a copy of the EU 7" single released on PAUSE_2 Recs.. it is limited (530 copies for sale worldwide) and response has been ace (PEEL played it.. NME gave it 'dance' single of the week!).. in the USA it is distributed by safety in numbers.. in the UK - prime distribution are handling it and it is in most indie stores.. and in germany it is available exclusively in hardwax.. can't guarantee any copies anywhere tho.. UK shops are probably your best bet if your local supplier hasn't got any.... don't panic though!!! EU mini-album 'reframing' (or EEP as i prefer to call it.. that's extended EP) is due out in november on PAUSE_2, it's 42 minutes long and totally rockin... CD only though i am afraid vinyl junkies. i'll keep you posted.. or if you'd like to be kept posted of the motions of both EU and PAUSE_2, then send a blank e-mail to subs@pause2.com ..... why not visit www.pause2.com as well..? tom@PAUSE_2 x --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I've got the last two from MP3.com. I think the last one was Eu_hard? EU_hard was ok, but the one before that (pink cover with some small picture of a Lumber yard?) was v nice. I think the underground IDM scene in Russia is one to watch out for, sure, they're not all as good as Fizzarum and EU, but give 'em time! (also, I'm gonna throw this in as my two cents worth. I think there are far too many people moaning about the way people post on this list. I mean, Christ, did we take too many pills at the weekend?! Hahahaha, chill Winston!) --- Jeff Birgbauer <jeff@theprimalscream.com> wrote: >
