Not at all. The only thing from Schematic that is actually going to warp is Richie Devine's lipswitch EP, which I THINK is liscensing form Schematic, if anything at all. The only other thing from Schematic (besides the first phonoecia ep) that might go to warp is Scott Herren's Delarosa+Asora project, because warp has picked up all of his other stuff, including prefuse 73 and his HEFTY records project, Savath+Savalas. The Delarosa+Asora is supposed to come out any time now, since it's already like 2 years old. Maybe Schematic would like that to happen, but it's probably doubtful. It seems like warp is much more interested in not-too-electronic acts, as they have signed on Tortoise, Godspeed You Black Emperor, and Savath+Savalas for examples. Those dudes are about hybrid shit for real, and Schematic is totally about ELECTRONIC stuff. peace joshua \telefon tel aviv \benelli design labs ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

i thought the deal was that Warp had licensed Tortoise and other people mentioned for european/UK distribution. similar to what matador does for warp in the states. I'm pretty sure tortoise will remain on the Thrill Jockey label. cheers, -derek --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Okay, maybe I should clarify a little more. Without getting long-winded, Toroise is LISCENSING their next album to Warp from the label they record for already, the very respected Thrill Jockey. It seems that most of what warp is doing is liscensing new stuff, not exactly signing them, since these acts prbably have pretty exclusive recording contracts. Sorry if there was any confusion. _J_ ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
