Them is Dose1 and J.E.L. and is on Anticon, a new-ish San Francisco rap
label that put out a compilation about a year ago called "Music For The
Advanced Listener," and has a variety of other releases by far-flung North
American artists (Andrew probably has something to say about The Sebutones
and Josh Martinez). Dose has the best rhyming style going these days, a
sort of stretched-out frozen syllable rap with singing bits, but he'd do
much better to get away from lala-loops-of-drums, though this could have
happened in his previous solo LP called "Bottle of Humans," which I
haven't heard.
