you can either buy the impulsetracker stereo wav-writer, which of course handles every .it absolutely properly, or you can do the usual scam and download modplugplayer < http://www.modplug.com > and use it to save as wav, of course modplugplayer doesn't handle retrigs or some effects as nicely as it2.14, so it's all up to your choice. do you want to support the creator of impulsetracker & get the tracks out absolutely correct, or are you into messing around with other programs which don't support IT 100%. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

The Modplug Tracker doesn't support .it 100%?? Since when is that? I've been using it for a long time now and never had ANY problems with sound in .it's getting screwed up or anything...maybe you should try downloading a recent version.

ok, modplug_player_ does play some things properly, in fact, a lot of them. but have you tried out tracks that use fading in and fading out retrigs? no, they don't play correctly, in fact, they stop playing at one moment. then, have a sinewave and do a quick pitchdown (_way_ down (e3f)) and then go up again (f3f) and at least my version does NOT rise up from that anymore. then have absolutely wild random panning going on, and the volume envelope on constant repeat from the beginning till the end of the vol-envelope, and it'll choose absolutely random panpositions for the sound everytime it's volume envelope starts from the beginning. i have also heard, that pan-brello and vibrato aren't played correctly. Maybe not, but my song Creste (www.mp3.com/ceTeR) was made entirely in Modplug Tracker (with some after-touching in Cubase's audio department) and I don't think it would've sounded half as good if it was made with Impulse Tracker, but then again, I haven't used ITracker since MPT was stable enough to use for mod tracking, so maybe I missed a major update or something. But I must also admit i haven't tried those effects you mention.

you are talking of modplug*tracker*, which i haven't tested at all. modplug*player* is probably one of the most easy programs to dump modules to wav-files with, and modplug*player* won't play *some* effects properly. Pjotr wrote:
