Hail all, Recently I've been having rather hectic times in my life, lots of shite to do, mammoth amounts of work etc. When this happens to me, I tend to move away from music like bombardier, squarepusher or even newer AE (i.e music with mind-bending programming, more complicated rhythms). Instead, I pick up a brinkmann record or one of the more minimal plastikman releases. My open-ended list question is: What music do you use to bring order or even change into your life? Specific records would be nice. For me, some records that cause me to put things into focus are: Scanner 20 to 2000 Plastikman consumed Thomas Brinkmann, labelless, something off freund My DJ Solarkat mixtape (lots of german techno) When things get boring, I put on: Any ambush release Bombardier, Violence Somatic Responses cat 07 The Locust Which records continually inspire/contain you? -The Objector --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Bola - Soup. Good music for strange days. Also if I'm feeling out of sorts I listen to the Tear Garden - Tired Eyes Slowly Burning to get me back into my old skin again. cid. www.rodlogic.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Hmmm, all depends what type of CHANGE is being sought. Last night I listened to Air's Moon Safari just for a totally different tack (been drilling my head with lots more 'complicated' stuff lately) and it was *so* pleasant, relaxing and sing-along-y. Pussyfoot's comp. Suck It and See also makes for good diversion listening and right now I've got Matsuri's Joujouka on headphones (not necessarily recommended if you feel like winding things down!) What's this got to do with selfpromotion, btw? (see subj).
