Lessee: CDs: Codec-fragments Saundart Plaid peel sessions toshok labs scanner 20' to 2000 MDs black metal mix by his honorable Cisco O some old ninja tune MD I made Records: Heinrich at Hart LP Routemaster 18- Lawrie Immersion and Dirtbag sok 3 ken ishii overlap edition ::Basks in the attention:: ---The Objector has spoken.--- "The goal of any writer is to acknowledge the numeric, programmed basis of his mind, and then supercede it. First one must explore the agonizing limits of patterns, their octahedral vultures and box-shaped emotions. After patterns are mastered, we seep into the mist of the patternless, passing through the thickest and thinnest of atmospheres. At each stage, patterns and non-patterns are grafted atop and within the gray matter of one's mind. At the nova point of summation the scar heals, erupts and bleeding anarchy blossoms like a larval butterfly." -The Objector October 6, 1999 --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Not on my desk, but in my bag (i.e. this is the stuff I grabbed off the floor this morning on my way out the door for work)... V/A - On The Brink of Infinity (Chthonic Streams) * compilation of dark ambient and World Serpent-y stuff that I got in the mail yesterday - not bad as far as this sort of thing goes the lickets - ??? (???) * enigmatic disc that I got in the mail a month or two back... no text at all on the disc or packaging, it came with a peice of paper that simply says "this is the first recording by the lickets" with an email address. it's quite good, though - sort of Stereolab meets abstract drone-loop-pop meets Add N To X, or something. Tear Ceremony - Emulsion (Simulacra) * latest disc from one of my favorite American ambient artists at the moment Meek - CD-R 2 * homemade CD-R that I got from some kid in Calgary that's fucking great - he's got a track on an upcoming Worm Interface compilation Unto Ashes - Moon Oppose Moon (Dying Time) * medieval-influenced darkwave/ambient from NYC - a little pretentious, but in a good way. :) The Tape-Beatles - Good Times (Staalplaat) * haven't listened to this yet, but I expect the usual cut-up madness that they're soo good at V/A - Food To Eat Music By (Elefant Traks) * great compilation of Australian IDM, hip-hop and other electronic bits Binger The Voyager - Sweet Taste Of Nothing (Oxygen Music Works) * strange electronic pop featuring the guy who records as Hab for Dot Records Stillstand - Nebel (Fusion Audio) * a promo I got in the mail that I haven't listened to yet Mika Vainio - 20' to 2000 October (Noton) * if you care, you have it, so 'nuff said V/A - Drum & Bliss Vol. 2 (Darla) * quite a cool collection despite the cheesy title and cover - not nearly as d'n'b-ish as you'd expect Animals on Wheels - Nuvol Icadira (N-Tone) Kit Clayton - Repitition & Nonsense (Drop Beat) Kit Clayton - Nek Sanalet (~scape) * three discs that I still have to review for the next issue of Grooves but haven't had the time to write up yet - soon, Sean, I promise! :) Greg --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
