has anyone heard the black dog remix of some tune by marilyn manson ? seen it on a picture-disc 10" but i reckon even ken downie'd be hard pressed to do anything with manson's music. also, has anyone heard the wagon christ rmxs of david sylvian's 'godman' ? cheers for any info simon

Dunno about this, but I just heard Black Dog's remix of a Creatures tune (found on a CD of Creatures remixes on Instinct called Hybrids; other remixers include Witchman, Howie B, Omnivore, Endemic Void, Icarus, the Beloved (!) and more) . Black Dog's mix is very aggressive, disjointed stuff--not at all what I was expecting. I thought it worked well. Sure, he did two remixes of "I Don't Like The Drugs (But The Drugs Like Me)," one called "Every Day" and one called "Absinth Makes The Heart Grow Fonder." If you like the song, you'll like the remixes; if you don't, you won't. Jimmy Cauty and Danny Saber also remixed this song. All of the various mixes are available on various CD-singles.
