So has anyone heard Alog's "Red Shift Swing" on Rune Grammofon? I picked it up at Aquarius (SF) yesterday after reading a cover blurb describing it as a cross between Tortoise & Oval. Well, it's really nothing like that at all, but it is fucking phenomenal. Lo-fi ambiance with murmurs of free jazz percussion, looping bliss, all kinds of oddities. I've only gotten the chance for a couple of listens, so it's still pretty much indescribable -- but suffice to say I'm thoroughly captivated. philip

I haven't heard it yet, but was enthused by your description and have found there are Real Audio clips at (the unsurprising) http://www.runegrammofon.com ... a weird range of records on there, to be sure, including the Biosphere and Deathprod collaboration and some "dark soundscapes" by one of the founding members of A-Ha. :-) Michael Join 18 million Eudora users by signing up for a free Eudora Web-Mail account at http://www.eudoramail.com
