Tom Middleton is one of those musical chameleons (along with partner Mark Pritchard) who has dabbled in pretty much every electronic musical genre and produced tracks that match if not exceed the quality of most genre-specific artists. For example: Chaos & Julia Set - dark, hard jungle Reload - Techno, ambient, breakbeat, etc. Secret Ingredients - Awesome big house tracks Global Communication - ambient, house, disco Jedi Knights/Jedi - Disco, electro, house, jungle Pulusha - Deep ambient etc. etc. If you've only heard the 76:14 album, I'd recommend checking out the Pulusha single. Otherwise, while the production values are similar, Tom and Mark's styles are incredibly diverse.... although I haven't heard a dud track yet. Picked up the Series 7 12" on Evolution recently. Is this just old acid tracks by Mark and Tom, or someone else? Thanks, Aaron np: Reload "A Collection of Short Stories" (Infonet)

jedis knight out is a mix cd. there are some of his own compositions on the cd, but it is mostly uptempo d+b/house/etc. 76:14 is an ambient classic, quite different, but very good. here is a very brief, off my head discography (extremely incomplete- please excuse errors) global communication - 76:14- dedicated - pentamerous metamorphoses (sis?) remixes of chapterhouse- dedicated - maiden voyage 2xcds- dedicated -incidental harmony- dedicated - the theory of evolution (various guises) - warp - the keongaku ep- evolution -the cyberdon ep- evolution -the way/the deep -the groove jedi knights - new school science- universal language - may the funk be with you- clear chaos and julia set - 12's? reload - a collection of short stories- infonet - the reload ep- evolution - the autoreload ep- evolution - the biosphere ep- evolution link/e621 -antacid ep- evolution (also as single on warp) -the first link ep- evolution -symbiotic ep- symbiotic the chameleon -ep - good looking records new york connection -ep- (?) recoil -appaloosa- recoil records the horn -the horn- universal language wishmountain -rose- universal language secret ingredients -new york, new york- universal language plus others (as horn, etc), remixes, comps. and on and on.... cl

It's Herbert. Rose is a track name. I don't have that Wishmountain CD with me but I remember seeing Middleton name for that track ( cowrote or coproduced ). Seb

Global Communication co-produced Wishmountain's "The Cough." That's probably what you're thinking of. C.
