<<Thought you might find this interesting>> Hello, and get this. Very exciting. Let me know if you need additional info or materials. Hot on the heels of Matador's 10th anniversary releases this September, Matador will be domestically releasing a series of compilations commemorating Warp's 10th anniversary. Warp is the influential Sheffield (UK) label from whom we've been licensing many important records in the last year--Boards Of Canada, Nightmares On Wax, Red Snapper, Two Lone Swordsmen, etc. There will be 3 separate releases, all offered as double CDs, and on vinyl as 4-record sets. The release date for all 3 is October 12 (simultaeous with the UK). WARP10 REMIXES (the "10" for these records is superscripted, i.e. to the 10th power) will feature bands remixing Warp hits--the remixers include Mogwai, Four Tet, Oval, Pram, Jimi Tenor, Red Snapper, Autechre, Luke Vibert, Stereolab, Isan, Andy Votel, John McIntyre, Underdog, Bogdan, Plaid, Surgeon, Wunder, Labradford, Pushbutton Objects, Richard Devine, To Rococo Rot, Plone and Jim O'Rourke. WARP 10 INFLUENCES will feature classic bleep-bleep tracks which influenced the start of Warp 10 years ago--tracks like Unique 3 "The Theme," Itals Rockers "Itals Anthem," Reese & Santonio "The Sound," Da Posse "Its My Life," Model 500 "Off To Battle," Master C & J "Dub Love," Mr Fingers "Can U Feel It," Guy Called Gerald "Voodoo Ray," 808 State "Let Yourself Go," etc. etc. etc. WARP10 CLASSICS will feature early Warp tracks by the likes of Forgemasters, Nightmares On Wax, DJ Mink, LFO, etc. etc. Warp will also be throwing a 3-day music fest in London on Nov 3-4-5 with all the big names, many of which play live very rarely. Though our advance CDs won't be complete, I can burn CDs or make tapes for anyone reviewing one or more of these releases, or who are otherwise in need of complete music. Ebay sellers, as always, will be prosecuted, and then torched. Warp's co-owners Steve Beckett and Rob are available for interviews, as are some of the bands. Photos can be provided &/or arranged as well. (there is also a PLONE record being licensed from Warp, which is coming out on Sep 28...advances imminent.)

I guess the Matador offices have a new dictionary where "simultaeous" is defined as "eight days later", since the UK release date I've heard for the Warp10 sets in October 4th. Greg
