Agreed! The people who are talking about jungle on this list will definitely
get into Raczynski's "Boku Mo Wakaran" cd. It gets really hardcore on the last
six tracks of the cd. Like Alec Empire's "Destroyer," but WAY better. One of
my favorites of 1999.
On the other hand, the singing, distorted child voice got on my nerves too much
on Bogdan's "Samurai Math Beats" cd. It's a shame, because all of the tracks
are awesome, but then they get ruined by that annoying singing.
Anyone ever hear a cd that would have been brilliant if the artist had simply
left something stupid and inconsequential off of it? Bogdan was going for that
wierd, Aphex Twin-type humor on Math Beats, but it just didn't come off as well
in my opinion.
However, I still think Bogdan Raczynski is brilliant, and I will definitely buy
whatever he comes out with next.
Fans of Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, and Bogdan Raczynski MUST buy Solar
X's "Little Pretty Automatic." To me, it's one of the best cds I've ever heard
in the genre of electronic music.
