i've just picked up the senking issue of the 20' to 2000 series and i am utterly breathless. these are among the most enthralling 20 minutes of music i've yet to hear this year. deep, entrancing, enveloping. beatless in a rigorous sense, the two cuts bubble with a rhythmic intensity similar to the artist's releases on karaoke kalk as senking and kandis, but refined and concentrated, boiled down to essentials and amplified by a feeling of raw necessity. some of the most emotionally determined music i've heard in a good while. sc

i'm not a big fan of the lone subwoofer sound, 'specially for music. it's almost a disembodied bass. got my hands on some big-ass, old-school speakers with a powerful amp: now that really fills my room with sound. songs that no longer gave me chills (ae's clipper, black dog's psil-cosyin) got all of their effect back. yay! [nonIDM: and radiohead's o.k.computer sounds incredible when it's cranked] tomas
