I've got a few records on A13 which seem to cover similar musical ground to B12. Who were they? I also have a CD on A13 which is pretty good - a compilation of different stuff. Also, can anyone point me to a discography of Pure Plastic? Does anyone have any more info on the recent Plaid remix on this label and was it any good? _____________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!? You're probably talking about the Electronica comp (with exclusive tracks by Cylob, Black Dog, Thomas Heckmann, and others) and the Repeats record, which was Plaid and Mark Broom collaborating. A couple of the tracks were reissued on Jonah Sharp's Reflective label on a 12" called Below the Market or something (can't remember)... but it's a good piece of wax. Yes, A13 is a favorite label of mine for those interested in the early b12-black doggy sound. here is a discog of their releases (in no particular order): . Experimenta comp cd/12" (A13)* . Kape Ill Musier/Mark Broom/Repeat comp 12" (A13)* . Mark Broom/Midst of Tumult/Repeat comp 12" (A13)* . Repeat: Repeats cd/2x12" (A13)* . Repeat: Lilt A remixes 12" (A13)* . Kape Ill Musier: Top/Bottom 12" (A13)* . Connective Zone: Holistic World 12" (A13) . Connective Zone: Sniper 12" (A13) . Conscious: Mt. Sinai 12" (A13) . Red Union: s/t 12" (A13) . L.A. Synthesis: Wave Sequence 12" (A13) . Lucid Dream: Pot Hole 12" (A13) . Lucid Dream: Chatter 12" (A13) . Lucid Dream: Pure Punk cd/2x12" (A13) . John Tejada: Disruption 12" (A13) . Pure Plastic is another favorite label of mine. For more info check Niko's excellent Pure Plastic discography at: http://www.hyperreal.org/music/bford/ifach/pure_plastic.html Regarding recent Plaid remixes, the ones i know of are Koolaking: One Latin on Pure Plastic, Bjork: All is Full of Love on One Little Indian, and Ko-Rec Technique on Chocolate Industries. I only have the Koolaking one myself. It a very (as the name suggests) upbeat latin-flavored track reminiscent of the Kushti track they did a few years ago. -->-Lance--- mclance@nacs.net lance@inaudible.com p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states

The name of the A13 comp that I have is "Experimenta". Tracks from Tura (Plaid), Stasis, Kinesthesia, Dave Angel, Stefan Robbers, Steve Pickton, and more. Also, the Jonah Sharp alias is called "South Of Market", which refers to the area of San Francisco south of Market Street. Correct me if I'm wrong... - Bob Weisend - rweisend@falcon.csc.calpoly.edu
