i think the subjectivity of emotion is what
makes it so worthwhile to write about music.
if you can express how a track makes you feel
well, you should... if for no other reason
than just to put out another perspective into
the air. i mean, i guess it might be fun
to talk only about the technical side of music,
but that would seem to me to depreciate that
music to the level of a hobby or a skill, rather
than an art. i know you're not suggesting that,
but the idea that writing about emotions in
music is worthless is kind of weird... i mean,
emotions at all times, about *anything* are
subjective. we HAVE to write about them.
