Hey all. I dunno if this has been *directly* addressed, but I was wondering if someone would like to compare Low Res "Approx. Love Boat" to Crank "Wanton Phenomena". I know this is an extremely tedious task and probably very difficult, yet I was wondering if anyone might wanna give it a try. I have the Low Res album and am probably going to be purchasing Crank imminently. hey, bc: crank is more... uh... crank. more noise, more solidified rhythms, more abrasive, a little less hallucinatory than low res. still got those great "melting chime" sounds in a few places. i'm not as immediately intrigued by it as i was with _approximate love boat_, but i do dig it. one track is entirely distorted noise, which is my bag, may not be yours. uh...peace in the middle east! or wherever the hell kosova is! boo-yeaaaa...
