no, they don't know anything about anything at grammaphone...the so called "experimental buyer" knows very little...i've called up looking for various things off of the mego or sahko label (which reckless carries sometimes) and the guy had no clue as to what i was looking for... and yes, everyone in the midwest has thrill jockey stuff...i am surprised to hear that they stock a-musik...but they do know autechre...they're not *that* stupid... -joshua...

I don't know everyone at Gramaphone, but I go there regularly and find that the people there are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. There may be blind spots in their knowledge, but the same can be said of everyone. That's why there's more than one record store in Chicago. And there are people from Gramaphone that are on the IDM and 313 mailing lists.
