OK Y'all, I've been tweaking the arrangement and mix of this track for a couple of weeks, and now I think it's ready for prime time: http://avalon.net/~sean/NoOneKnows(rmx).mp3 This uses vocalmaterial from the traditional spiritual "Ain't No One Knows" as recorded by the a cappella group Sweet Honey in the Rock. As time permits I'll put up an MP3 of the original alongside my track. It's a really amazing bit of singing. The bassline was created in Martin Faye's VAZ Pro virtual modular synthesizer, and the breaks I programmed using individual drum hits bit off a variety of break CD's. I think on some level I was going after the harder, bass heavy break sound I have been hearing in the last few months. But when I get done, I'm not sure if anyone would fit it into that genre. I will say that I set out to get hectic, and I've achieved that.

There's a new one by 337is for the takin' at: http://www.glimmering.com/lr2/337is.htm A link to a very deep, long number from the "made in taiwan volume 2" sessions is hidden somewhere on the record player at: http://www.glimmering.com/lr2/337is.htm And for those of you who may have missed it, there are also 9 other MP3s by 337is (the whole cd of "made in taiwan volume 1) at: http://www.glimmering.com/lr2/337is.htm To paraphrase. 9 MP3s plus 1 hidden track equals ten tracks for your pleasure. Let me know what you think when you check them out, thanks for any and all support. 337is I think things are really becoming a lot clearer to me. I really don't understand anything.-Lisa Rollins (3-1-99 10:25 EST) http://www.glimmering.com/lr2/
