The (various artists) compilation "Turbo Beats", on Cup of Tea/Iron Music features a track by Andy Turner called "Fly Creek". I'm not sure if this is the same Andy Turner we're all aware of (Plaid/Black Dog). This track is nothing compared to Plaid/BD. Breakbeats layered with looped-rap lyrics, and a rather bland melody. Can anyone make the connection, or am i way off? This compilation is/was put together by Scott Hendy (1/2 Purple Penguin) at the "Blowpop" in Bristol. Interesting. Your probably referring to Jazz Spanky's 4-track 12" "Theme from Smoochers Helpline", although i'm not certain because i don't have it. Can anyone confirm this?? ALSO: Just wrapped up a review for Jazz Spanky's latest "Spin & Spank" that will be featured in issue #2 of Grooves Magazine. Stay tuned... Pietro.

Nope, doesn't seem to be the case. The 12" (which has five tracks, actually) only has one remix on it, and it's credited to One Cut. Perhaps this is a Plaid alias? Greg
