Well I don't know how the hell you can tie this into IDM but I saw them
perform before Xmas in Chicago and was excited and exhilirated by their
set. Not as cacophanous (sp?) as the old days (1986 I saw them last)
but nice stuff. Rhythmic industrial percussions, sections of high pitched
noises/bells/vacuums/etc.. experimental and beautiful.
I have only been on this list for a month so I'm not sure what the hell IDM
*is*, but, if Carl Craig fits into the category then here is the IDM related
portion of the post:
ATTENTION Chicago people!
1/23/99 at the Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art there is scheduled a six-hour
multi-media event featuring a performance by Carl Craig and the Innerzone
Orchestra. More info available from

Later people....
Noone should drop that kinda cash for those SKAM/MASK releases. Suckers.
