kombination research is advents own label that started out somewhere in middle 1998 and is around its sixth release now (KR006). all releases on KR are by the advent, and the style is as you probably already know driving minimal and electro (just to ride this new electro wave i presume - their electrotrack on 'elementz of life' called 'city lights' is a lot better than the newer stuff imo).
metalbox on the other hand is the new name of internal, which released advents first album 'elementz of life' (which is really good), 'shaded elementz' (which contains techno remixes by lekebusch, damon wild, p.a.s. and others) and their 'new beginnings' album too. after internal changed to metalbox, the advent released the 'kombination phunk' album which is weird to me. i heard that it contained remixes by the advent, plus some of their own tracks too. this was not true. it's just another collection. "tracks compiled by cisco ferreira and colin mcbean and re-edits by cisco ferreira. the advent presents kombination phunk" is written on the album.
