Yea, I want that Black Dog stuff too, but I was trying to download the Hangable Auto Bulb EP and I was getting a transfer rate of .5K/sec!!! It took over 4 hours to get 30MB worth of music... -Dr. Smith -- The Mystery of Mysteries...revealed! http://www.calvin.edu/~asmith89/

stop bitching! like most other things in life, this stuff is a privilege, not a right. i can't believe that any of you people that are writing from schools don't have high speed access. and maybe zip drives? either way, if it wasn't there in the first place you wouldn't have the chance to hear it at all. find something to do besides staring at your monitor for four hours and come back when it's done. download at night. there's lots of ways to make it work. np:milesdavisquintet:toutdesuite(alternatetake) On Mon, 7 Dec 1998, Andrew Smith wrote:

Hey, chillout. I was just making a comment, I normally get transfer rates of 100kb/sec so .5 was a bit of a shift... And besides, I give everything I download to my friends on zip disk... -Dr. Smith -- The Mystery of Mysteries...revealed! http://www.calvin.edu/~asmith89/

ASG-- I'm grateful for the availability of this material.....However--extremely frustrated. I have yet to see a 1000 kbps transfer rate, or for that matter anything consistent, on the server(this includes an attempt at 2 in the morning last night)... Will it always be like this??? I would really like to get the Black Dog Live files, but at a combined total of 87 MB that would take me something like a week at the rate the files are coming down the pipe.... --something else-- Picked up Neotropic's new LP (my first Neotropic/SFWS purchase) a couple days ago and am surprised at how similar it sounds to another NTone release:: Journeyman's National Hijinx.....some tracks are almost interchangable....Both essential records, though..... @ndrew
