Daniel Miller (as I recall) first made waves as The Normal with "Warm Leatherette" (a spoken vocal rendering of love in a car wreck over a stark drum machine with like 2 synth notes repeated). It was a big club anthem in either the late 70s or early 80s. Still fun to hear. Miller went on to produce Fad Gadget and much Depeche Mode and related stuff. Seems like he may have had/still have a major hand in Mute records as well. Jones has been behind the boards mixing and producing DM and a lot of other similar bands over the years. jeff Irene McC wrote:
