I'm new to the list and I contributed my
website to the IDM ring.
Let me introduce myself:
I run a small recordlabel based in Amsterdam,
The Netherlands.
Sofar I released 2 CD's in the past two
months, and one more will be released within
the next 2 months. The music is IDM [why
would I join this ring, otherwise ?] but to
get more specific:
AVENGING SPACE - This Dutch project has just
released their selftitled debutalbum. It is
an eclectic mix of styles, including triphop,
easy tune, mariachi, big beat and jungle, and
there are also strong 80 's influences,
especially the vocals. Basically, their music
is very hard to categorize, which was also
pointed out by the press reviews. I think
that's a good thing.
NOON - This Polish guy is about to release
his first soloalbum [called BLEAK OUTPUT] in
a few days. It can be described as a
minimalist version of DJ Shadow, 100 %
samplebased and with strong moody overtones.
VIKTOR SJöBERG - A Swedish guy. His album is
called AUDIO ARCHITECTURE and will be
released in about 2 months from now. His
music is close to the ninjatune stuff,
especc. DJ VADIM. Very minimalist,
beatorientated samplebased instrumental
music.

Another thing : I am about to release a
compilation album end of this year. I already
collected tracks from around the globe, but I
still need more... And since I suspect lots
of you guys create music yourselves, I would
like to invite you to submit material - on
the website is a demo-submissionform, which
will give you access to my FTPserver, where
mp3's can be uploaded. The concept of this
compulation is somewhat like the HEADZ-comp.
from Mo'Wax, a few years back. Mainly
downtempo stuff. But do check out the website
and see if you feel at home.. mail me if want
