Just wondering if anyone's listened to Markant 13 yet? Any opinions? Got the pic-disc of it in yesterday, but was hesitant to play the thing until I can record it properly. -Mike

I'm led to ask: if the regression in quality from 11 to 12 to 13 is any indication, will 15 be random banging on the keys of a toy piano sequenced and repeated for 8 minutes? There's one listenable track on here, the remaining being poorly EQ'd, repetitive irritating nonsense, with low quality keyboard presets looped over dull loops. 11 and 12 at least put me to sleep, this just grates on me. (this coming from one of the people who made those MP3's on my web page...) I'm babbling, though - sorry. Would anybody like to buy a copy? <G> * * * * * Check out the New! Improved! hmm...i've got one, and 9-12, and, well, i also think that one is a lot better than the rest, but 10 and 11 really have their moments. does anyone have them all? what're the rest like? * #### a disturbance in a system. #### laerm. @voicenet.com ##:# "People are ecstatic about getting into the mainstream. i have 1 and 7-13 (havent listened to 13 yet) i found 1 and 7-8 to be unremarkable, not bad, just kind of average- not enough going on. 9 and 10 have picked up the pace a little and i can pay attention to them. havent heard the recent ones enough to make a decision yet. i hope there will be a serious change in direction pretty soon, i cant justify buying the same set of records every 2 months. cl

damn straight!! 1) bought 07 & 08, thought it was me (almost crashed my car while playing - kept falling asleep) 2)got 09 & 10, seemed quite the same, scratched my head 3)got the 11 & 12, shame on me by now 4)vow again not to buy any more MARKANT 5)will sell all my MARKANT in 2030 for 15x original price to some 21 yr old IDMr or maybe i'll only be able to sell them for $1 each at a garage sale. (read - sucker) my girlfriend just says Markant's insipid, and I have no argument there. does anyone want to defend this jasper named Markant? Markant, could you pause counting your proceeds and make an artist's response/statement? ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
