Anyone still care about Autechre's 'secret' gear list? here ya go. I imagine they have a few more odds and bobs at home but this list of gear would probably be enough for 95% of the sounds they use. ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Fri, 31 Jul 1998 11:09:47 -0800 From: Ian MacLachlan <ianm@inexpharm.com> To: analogue@hyperreal.org Subject: Autechre Live Autechre played last night at the Palladium here in Vancouver. For those of you who may be interested the live setup was as follows; Roland R8 (master clock) 2 x Alesis MMT8 Nord Lead Rack Yamaha QY20? (or 30? the little blue one) EPS-16+ w/ output expander Roland PMA-5 Sony 1/2 Rack Effects Processor 1 Portable Dat Machine Mackie 1604 VLZ All gear on stage was mixed down by AUTECHRE and fed into 2 DIs for one stereo mix to front of house. That was about it. I may have missed one or two things since I was scrambling around on stage, in the dark, with my own set of priorities. The band traveled over from the UK with only a few boxes of gear. The EPS was borrowed from someone here in Vancouver, I'm sure the 1604 was as well. How was the show? Very good I would say. Sounded rich given the minimal setup. I believe they are on their way to Toronto and Montreal. Should be good shows there too.
