Yeah, the latter. I'm not sure if "exclusive to this release" means "written for this release". It sounded to me very unlike cichli suite or chiastic slide stuff, but it had more of a recent production vibe. Having listened to the clips of the new LP on the warp site, and being blown away (I really didn't like Chiastic Slide, and thought Cichli Suite was Ok), I think it probably is a recent one.
