hasnt all of this been scheduled for like, *THE LAST YEAR*, while no releases from Warp have seen US daylight until now? whats happening? are warp ever going to snap out of licensing to *BAD*, flaky industrial labels... sorry, it sorta had to come out... i dont wanna revive that older thread, but this is escaping me... jif

according to a nothing publicist i spoke to yesterday, they will release _big loada_ with extra tracks this summer and then the new album sometime in the fall. jeff

did i go blahblahblah trent reznor sucks etc etc idm rules over everything else? no i didnt... my point is, if your going to get a deal with a major, might as well get one that gets things moving... first they were supposed to release x records from warp then everything got delayed, now chiastic slide and hnddy are not going to see a domestic release, etc... i tought the we'll-sign-boards-of-canada-and-get-you-a-new-record-by-the-fall deal that matador was allegedly working on made sense, even matador is ***oh-my-god*** an INDIE-ROCK label -- and one of the best ones at that, might i add. i just figured that the outcome of the TVT deal was a bitter one for Warp and that they would have been sharp enough to branch out, and maybe deal with a major that didnt have any sort of musical agenda (Sire?) damn! jif
