anybody heard alexander's dark band? it's a j. saul kane project on dc. grunched up dirty nasty beats with all manner of weird noises. imagine if octagon man used loops instead of electro beats, that's the basic idea. yummy. Dunno about a discog, as far as I know there's only one release - Alexander's Dark Band "Beat Vortex" LP (DC07LP). It's more a of DJ toolz record than anything, 2x12"s of dark breakbeat instrumentals w/ various atmospheric noises and clattering sounds. Kind of similar to Sex, Sluts, and Heaven or Legend of the Golden Snake, dark and deep but not as song-oriented. I've got a copy I might be willing to trade, contact me off-list if innarested.
