7 HILLS CLASH Compilation #3 DRC2 (CD) here's the track listing: Tocsin - Impending Doom [Allot/Maloney/Swancott] F.B.C. - Fool [J P Buckle] Bouncing Bomb - The Boxer [Honer/Thomas] Codebreaker - Eniac [M+A Swancott] Melting Pot - Superthrive [Allot/Maloney/Swancott] I Monster - Exotic Birds [Honer/Gosling] Obeah - Dirty [Allot/Thomas] RAC - Fushigi [Duckenfield] Twinlock - Keep Hold [Honer/Thomas] Juggla - Skung Greene [Morris/Reynolds/Greene] Medium - Celsius (Autechre Remix) [Booth/Brown] looks like we have another Ae alias on our hands. and is that John "Zos Kia/Mekon" Gosling? more Ae... the amazing "Feebate Mix" of Stereolab's "Reflections In The Plastic Pulse" was just issued as a 12" (with an equally amazing Kid Loco Mix of "Contronatura") on Duophonic. DUHF 19. no doubt hopelessly limited - but it's one of the finest Ae mixes since they fucked with Silvania. and now you don't have to may mega$$$ for the Japanese "Miss Modular" CD. :n*r: np: owL remix Low

Not an alias, look - it's a remix. Not heard of Medium before though. This track was issued last December on a 12" (DRC DJ 001) along with the RAC track and two of the others (can't remember off top of head, but one was the All Seeing I remix).

Picked it up on limited red vinyl (D-UHF-D19) about 3 weeks ago. Is there a non-limited regular vinyl outing as well? BTW my discog is not bang up to date at teh moment (no Tortoise, East Flatbush Project or Push Button Objects/Scehamtic listed at the moment) but it should be sorted within a week. But both the above mentioned 12"s have been on there a wee while. laterz, J ^ Steady J aka James Skilton steady-j@geocities.com Autechre & SKAM discogs @ http://subnet.virtual-pc.com/~sk393820 "I don' have any idea 'bout what's going on..."

no, i think it is an Ae alias. for every other artist on the CD, the musicians were listed. why would the credits for Medium - "Booth/Brown" - be any different? so "Ae remixing Medium" must be like "Gescom mixing Ae." people are allowed a shot or two at their own work. :-)

Finally got the answer. There is an earlier CD on this label, DRCD1, which contains the original track, Medium - Celsius, and the writing credit is something else (I think it was "Hobson" but my memory is unclear from seeing it in the shop.) Admittedly it's an unusual way of crediting the writing on a remix, even for Ae who almost always create a practically new track from remnants of the original. (They have in fact stated this as their method of going about a remix project) J ^ Steady J aka James Skilton steady-j@geocities.com Autechre & SKAM discogs @ http://subnet.virtual-pc.com/~sk393820 "I don' have any idea 'bout what's going on..."
