Y03 is Richard Brown of RAC, Swag, CherryBomb, and a kajillion other pseudonyms for this prolific bloke.

As much as I'm a fan of both, this particular Brown release is one that doesn't veer too much towards Hannant territory. On it's own merit, it's still quality techno and is a delicious slab of GPR fair nonetheless.... Lot's of beats abound, but strays from being considered a fully functional dance album. A bit of RAC type 'lectroisms here, a bit of acid squelch there, sortof goes everywhere, just like Mr. Brown. Good album nonetheless, and if you dig what you've got so far from the GPR camp, you woudn't be sorry on picking up this baby. There's an earlier 12" called the Deep Sleep EP that sounds more along B.H. lines... the title track alone is very BH..... maybe find that puppy Xen0phyle --nothing is being-- 93/93

YO3 is collaboration between Beaumont Hannant and Richard Brown. Richard Brown is not RAC, he may be involved in engineering or something like that....but RAC is Chris Duckenfield now. Few years earlier RAC were Chris Duckenfield and Richard Benson. to clear up the confusion bye rob np: diof : cylob
