I was looking through some papers, and came across a note from last year reminding myself to buy "Sacrilege," the Can remix thingy. I never did buy the album, but is it worth doing so? Speaking of German music, I picked up CMJ yesterday, and this month's free CD has one SCARY song on it - Hammstein's "Du Hast." I don't often hear songs that make me feel like I'm in trouble! It's like getting yelled at! Thanks -Sw np: DJ Cam - DJ Kicks

No, not really. I bought it when it came out and was sorely disappointed, save for one or two highlights (as mentioned in other posts here already). I'd say don't bother.

Is this *R*ammstein? They were also on Lynch's soundtrack to The Lost Highway (kinda befitting to that movie :-) ) NOT a happy sounding bit of music, is theirs .... named after an air-show disaster in which a burning plane plummeted into the spectators - so what can you expect. If you're really into Can, some of these interpretations are VERY well done.. notably the UNKLE mix of Vitamin C and Carl Craig's Future Days.. I haven't listened to it in a while, maybe I should pop it in. -mc

Actually, that sounds like an *act* called Ege Bam Yasi. He's this baldy bloke from Edinburgh who friends with Finitribe (He's released some stuff on Finiflex) who does "old-style" acid house stuff. Yep, that's the one I've got as well. Sounds like Mr Egg's been round a few record labels in his time...

If it's the same G7 I'm thinking of, then the other Slam bloke Stuart McMillan and the other two guys from Rejuvination are also involved as well. Michael. -- ==== NETWORK ONLINE SCENE MAGAZINE ============================= ==== http://www.scene-central.com/ =============================
