hi all
idm has been a bummer these last few days, full of
unresolvable arguments about copyrights, vocals, and
the listening habits of females. therefore allow me
to make a suggestion: next time you have the urge
to add to one of these threads, instead go pick up the
new cd by dol-lop on swim~ or the new _radical beauty_
compilation on om records. the former features a
bunch of straightforward but effective beats reminiscent
of some boards of canada stuff. the rhythms aren't
"anal" or terribly intricate, but the music as a whole
just clicks. it's a cd your non-idm friends might even
appreciate. the second release features a bonus CD-ROM
which i haven't yet looked at, plus a mixed cd with
journeyman, skylab, MMM, daniel pemberton, jonah sharp,
and t-power to name a few. i won't try to convey the
"radical" artistic message accompanying the music, but
i will say that most of the tracks are worth a listen,
especially the ambient jungle offered by jonah sharp.
i hope the forthcoming spacetime continuum single and lp
compare...
