It's a very gritty record..... mostly sounds like a pisstake (as far as I can tell) but if you liked Richard D. James (which I did not) you'll probably like the mentality of the record. There's one cool track where richard plays with a sample of his mum laughing. Very creepy. And the guest mixes by cylob and vibert are kinda cool. Aaron

Ventolin, on the other hand, seems to be an album of pure fun. It does not have a very serious feel to it at all. Shake it for your hood if its all good. piece

What the hell's up with this? APHEX TWIN Ventolin US CD Vg+ copy on Sire/Warp $18.00 I saw this in the latest Vinyl Ink Records update. Is this actually some out of print rarity? Last I knew any store in the states could easily get this. It's no big deal if this is true, I already have mine, I'd just feel badly about all the friends of mine who are into Aphex Twin but don't want to hunt down the imports & rarities & ask me "What should I look for?" & then I always say that "Ventolin" is the best deal & great music & totally easy to get. I'm also getting more & more suspicious of Vinyl Ink Records & as being massive scammers & gougers with their rarity prices. Well, anyway, I guess I'm just wondering if this really is a hard to find CD. Marc Poirier
