hi all remember that sound on Ae's "krib" that sounds like two glasses being bounced off each other (the dominant sample in the song)? well i was listening to tod dockstader's "water music" last night, and that same little sample dominates part 3. of course, tod recorded it over and over 35 years ago and then painstakingly cut and spliced it in little inch-long portions. Ae simply had to push a button or two to modify it and/or insert it. but at least we know they respect the roots of the music, unlike most techno artists nowadays! i wish i could put Ae and dockstader in contact to remix each others' work... matt
