Just picked up something this weekend that will probably fit the bill:
Christophe de Babalon's new 2x12", "If you're into it then i'm out of it,"
or something to that effect. Most of it is distorted drum'n'bass, on the
more "experimental" tip, if that means anything at all these
days--distorted & dark (but not as "brutal" as Panacea--more subtlety), and
with lots of texture & nuance, & lots of non-signature-d'n'b elements as
well. It's not at all formulaic. the a-side, also, is just one track, one
very long track of murky ambience & anxious soundsculpting that's quite
amazing (for anyone that knows--is this what Scorn is like? It's what i
imagine it to be like.)
can't go into more detail, 'cause i've only given it a couple listens so
far. but i wholeheartedly recommend it, if any of the above descriptions
tickle yer fancy.

oh yeah, and a question: heard a (new?) mick harris d'n'b project on the
radio, although i forget the name of it now. how is this? it sounded
pretty good on the ol' car stereo.
